On the evening of December 27, the 2020 New Year Concert of Hebei Normal University was held in the Zhenzhi Hall. Dai Jianbing (Secretary of the Party Committee of the University), Liu Jingze (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the University), other school leaders, retired teachers, teachers with titles of honor above the provincial level, all the teachers with 30 years of teaching experience, all the new teachers, teachers with the title of Excellent Communist Party members and party affairs worker at school level in 2018, teachers with the title of advanced worker at school level in 2018, outstanding graduate students and undergraduate students who won various awards and honors, Democratic Party teacher representatives, logistics workers representatives and all middle-level cadres were invited to attend the ceremony in order to celebrate the new year and look forward to the brilliant glory in the future.

Dai Jianbing sent the New Year’s greetings. On behalf of the Party committee and the administration staffs of HNU, he extended his best wishes and heartfelt thanks to all the teachers and students for the coming new year, retired comrades, alumni and friends from all walks of life who care about and support the development of HNU. Dai Jianbing comprehensively reviewed the gratifying achievements made by the whole university from the aspects of morality cultivation, teaching and research, social services in 2019 and he pointed out the urgent issues facing the future development. The new era possesses new requirements and the new journey calls for more responsibilities. The year 2020 is the key year for HNU to implement the 13th five-year plan and promote the Double First Class construction. Let us hold high the great banner of Xi Jinping’s socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era, firmly establish the concept of community of common destiny for all the mankind in HNU, work together with one heart and one mind and strive to the construction of a high level university.

The New Year’s concert kicked off in the folk ensemble Great motherland. It eulogizes the great changes in China since the reform and opening up. Later, the folk music ensemble The Most Dazzling Little Apple composed by The Coolest Ethnic Trend and The Little Apple brought us a new audio-visual enjoyment. The song Little Cowboy, which was full of Hebei Folk characteristics, had a bright and smooth tone, and Zhengding wind-percussion music Hualandeng showed a distinctive regional cultural style. Chinese zither and flute song Fisherman's Song at Dusk, the song Cloud of Hometown, symphony ensemble Blue Danube River were melodious and graceful, the percussion ensemble South of Cloud, symphony ensemble The Red Detachment of women and the opera Non piu Andrai were vigorous and sonorous. The song Happy China·Go Together gave the new call of the times and the common aspiration of hundreds of millions of people.

The concert was hosted by HNU Committee of Communist Party of China and Hebei Normal University, and organized by the CPC Publicity Department, the Academic Affairs Office and the School of Music. Teachers and students of School of Music carefully planned, rehearsed and performed enthusiastically and presented a wonderful New Year’s cultural feast. The majority of teachers and students have expressed that they are delighted and warm to receive the invitation letter for the New Year Concert signed by Dai Jianbing and Liu Jingze. During this warm period, they felt the peace and beauty of the New Year through this encouraging and inspiring concert. In the new era, with the new mission, on the new journey and for the new responsibility, we will further establish the concept of community of common destiny for all the mankind in HNU and make great efforts to the construction of a high-level university to get the new achievements.
