On July 1, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between the School of Mathematical Sciences of Hebei Normal University and the School of Mathematical Sciences of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) was held in Xiongan New Area. Li Guijun, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Hebei Normal University; Liu Weidong, Member of the Party Standing Committee and Vice President of SJTU; Lou Yuan, Dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences of SJTU, along with Vice Deans Xie Feng and Zhu Huiyu, and core faculty representatives from both institutions, attended the event. The opening ceremony was presided over by Yuan Liping, Dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences of Hebei Normal University.

Li Guijun extended a warm welcome to the expert delegation from SJTU and introduced the university's century-old educational heritage and the solid foundation of its mathematics discipline. He pointed out that this strategic cooperation presents a significant opportunity for resource complementarity with top-tier comprehensive universities. He emphasized that the university will fully support in-depth collaboration between the two schools in talent cultivation, scientific research, and academic exchange. Liu Weidong delivered an online speech, highlighting the internationalization achievements of SJTU's mathematics discipline, and expressed that both universities will leverage interdisciplinary integration to jointly serve the national innovation development strategy.

In the presence of Li Guijun and Chen Luonan, Chair Professor of SJTU, Yuan Liping and Lou Yuan signed the strategic cooperation agreement, officially establishing a long-term partnership.

Following the signing ceremony, both schools held a thematic seminar on discipline development. Yuan Liping and Lou Yuan respectively introduced the development history, disciplinary layout, and talent cultivation systems of their mathematics programs. Chen Luonan, Li Songting, Distinguished Professor of SJTU, and Stefano Luzzatto and Sergei Goriainov, full-time professors at Hebei Normal University, shared their latest research achievements in fundamental and applied mathematics.
