On April 18, the 2026 "International Chinese Language Day" themed event and the launch ceremony of the 3rd Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei ASEAN Students "My Story with China" Chinese Story Short Video Exhibition were held at Tianjin Normal University. The event was guided by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and the ASEAN-China Centre, supported by the International Society for Chinese Language Teaching, China Education Daily, and the China Education Association for International Exchange, and jointly organized by the education commissions of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei provinces. It was co-organized by Tianjin Normal University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, and Hebei Normal University.

At the launch ceremony, Shao Junyong, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Hebei Normal University, delivered a speech. He pointed out that in recent years, the university has been deeply engaged in international Chinese language education, actively building multi-level international Chinese exchange platforms and creating brand projects such as "Walking Classroom on China's National Conditions" and "Jiyi Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture Research Workshop". As a co-organizer, Hebei Normal University will further deepen collaborative cooperation with universities such as Beijing Foreign Studies University and Tianjin Normal University, helping more young people from Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and ASEAN countries to tell Chinese stories well in Chinese, convey the friendship of Hebei, promote Yan-Zhao culture to the world, and facilitate mutual learning and common growth between Chinese and foreign youths.

Attending leaders and guests jointly launched this short video exhibition. More than 500 international student representatives from over 50 countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Thailand, Vietnam, Kenya, and Russia, along with faculty and student representatives from universities in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, participated in the launch ceremony.

The event has been successfully held for two consecutive sessions, collecting nearly 800 works and involving nearly 8,000 participating teachers and students. Hebei Normal University is fully responsible for organizing the Hebei division and collecting works, extensively mobilizing participation through multi-channel promotion. In the previous two sessions, international students from Hebei Normal University actively participated and their submitted works achieved excellent results.
