From April 16 to 17, the 2026 Spring Sports Meeting of Hebei Normal University was held at the Lingyun Stadium of the Yuhua Campus.

At the opening ceremony, Li Guijun, Deputy Party Secretary and President of the University, Fu Jianjun, Deputy Party Secretary, and Shao Junyong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President, presented awards to the Advanced Units in Student Sports Work for 2025 and the "Budu Lepao" (the "Campus Running" program) Stars. Li Guijun declared the sports meeting open, and Shao Junyong announced the list of Advanced Units in Student Sports Work for the "Chaoyue Cup".

After fierce competition, the Vocational and Technical School - School of Engineering, School of Geographical Science, School of Physics, School of Teacher Education, School of Mathematical Sciences, School of Network Education (School of Software), School of Chinese and Literature, and School of Computer and Cyber Security ranked the top eight in the overall team score in Group A. School of Law and Public Administration, School of Marxism, School of Music, School of Life Sciences, School of Journalism and Communication, and College of History and Culture ranked the top six in the overall team score in Group B. Ten colleges, including the School of Journalism and Communication, School of Chemistry and Materials Science, School of Home Economics, School of Business, School of Teacher Education, School of Marxism, School of Foreign Studies, School of Law and Public Administration, School of Mathematical Sciences, and School of Geographical Science, were awarded the Sportsmanship Award. Zhu Xingquan from the School of Network Education (School of Software), Lü Jiaxin from the College of Education, Chen Jiayi from the School of Mathematical Sciences, and Yao Yunhao from the School of Geographical Science broke the university's sports meeting records in the Men's 3000 meters, Women's 3000 meters, and Men's 100 meters events, respectively.

This sports meeting was held in the first year of the university's "15th Five-Year Plan". In accordance with the national requirements for strengthening students' physical fitness, the university has formulated and implemented a plan to enhance students' physical fitness. During the sports meeting, more than 2,800 teachers and students participated in various competitions, showcases, group calisthenics performances, CPR skill displays, and other activities, demonstrating a united, striving, and vibrant campus sports culture.
